The 8” ION R1 utilizes a powerful 5Ah Gen 1 battery, paired with a specially designed motor to deliver optimal power and performance. In fact, ION R1 adds up to 35% more power and significant speed upgrades over previous Gen 1 ION Augers, making it one of the most powerful electric augers on the market today. The R1 is outfitted with a durable composite bottom, centering point, and cutting ring to ensure that you can safely and comfortably re-drill old holes without the binding and jarring that many curved blade augers experience. The 8” model weighs just 23 lbs, features a full length 40-inch auger, and cuts 1600” of ice on a single charge. All ION augers come with a Reverse mode for flushing slush, and are backed by an industry-leading 3-year warranty—which includes the battery.
